High-quality cruelty-free mask really delivers!

This is one of the better sheet masks I have used, and I have tried a LOT. The mask itself is made of biocellulose, which is a super thin natural fiber that is actually about 1,000 times thinner than human hair. It's also very hydrophilic, so it holds a lot of moisture. It is sustainably produced... and naturally degrades after use, so I am already on board with this product even before I've used it! This mask comes attractively packaged. It's easy to open, even for wet, slippery hands, which I appreciate because I often apply a mask before I get out of the shower. There are two backing sheets to remove, and I'll admit that that sometimes confuses me. Which side goes on my face?? (I don't think it actually matters.) This particular mask has eye flaps, so if you use it while lying down you can let those rest over your eyes to treat that area, too. One really nice feature of biocellulose is that, because it is so thin, it fits the contours of your skin very snugly, so your whole face benefits. Of course, it helps that this BioRepublic mask is cut with notches to help fit all face shapes and sizes. The whole thing is extremely pliable, and I was able to push it into all those nooks and crannies that are usually neglected by other skin masks. I applied this mask at the end of my shower while my skin was still moist and my pores were open. The serum has a jelly-like texture that adhered to my dewy skin very well. There wasn't much of a scent that I noticed, but I prefer that for my sensitive and easily irritated skin. And speaking of sensitivity, this mask didn't bother my skin at all. Quite the opposite, actually; it felt so soothing and calming while I wore it, and my skin looked clearer and brighter, with noticeably less redness after I removed it. BioRepublic promises instant results with this mask. That's one heck of a promise, but I guess it delivers! I think it's probably pretty clear by now that I really enjoyed using this mask. The only thing I didn't love about it was that it felt a little bit heavy on my face, and it kept falling forward. I think that's because it holds so much moisture that pretty much all the serum in the sachet was actually IN the fiber of the mask, increasing its weight. Indeed, there was very little leftover serum in the pouch. I know some people like to use the leftover stuff for their chest, neck, and hands. I do, too, but I prefer to have as much of it as possible treating those early signs of aging in my face. In any case, I think the mask would have stayed put better had I been lying down while using it instead of trying to defy gravity. All in all, I can say that this is one of the best facial masks I have ever had the pleasure to use! Not only is it delightful to wear, it's sustainably made AND is 100% cruelty-free! It costs more than many others, and is probably more expensive than I can afford to use regularly, but I believe the quality is better and the higher price just might be warranted.
